Commerce Excursion : Metal Detectors Have A Thing Against Me.
I'm going to be writing two blogs today for two seperate days because they were very good days and heaps to talk about ! This one is about the Commerce excursion I had at the city. This excursion was heaps fun and full of amusing moments.
That morning, I did the normal I guess , woke up a bit earlier than usual but not much of a dramatic change. I walked my normal route as every morning because the meeting place for the excursion was near my place and I pass it everyday so no change there. I got there around 7 : 40 , got my name marked off and I saw Carol , Priyam and Alpana & we started talking. At 7: 50 , we had to go take our train but then OH NO : Pretisha & Chontelle aren't here yet and we were about to head off to the platform then suddenly , we see Pretisha & Chontelle running to catch up to us ! I was exclaiming my relief saying : Now that's legendary :L So we went down to the platform to catch the train then suddenly there was this other student that was catching up to us then I recognise the hot pink Sportsgirl bag and realize its Rebecca ! ( aka: Chowdhury) and I was like OMFG I forgot about her :L The train ride was alright , train was packed because it was morning rush hour and when seats were vacant, Carol & I sat down and sitting beside me was this Asian lad listening to music. He fell asleep and I was like to Carol " Should we wake him up? He might miss his stop" But I decided to leave him and I don't really know what happened to him afterwards. Our Commerce teacher was chatting it up to random people and it was freaky & amusing at the same time , I should say. Neelam borrowed my phone to go on facebook because 3 customers have free facebook access untill the 31st of August (H) When we got to Central station , we had to catch another train to Museum station. Priyam,Carol,Rebecca and Pretisha ate Timtams & Oreos :) yummm ! When we got there , we took some pictures then Priyam shared her rice crackers with us :D We walked to Downing Centre and this is when my blog tittle makes sense.
When we arrived , the police officer told us to remove all sharp and metal objects from our possession. I was like " nah I don't have any scirros or knives , I'm all good" So when I went through the metal detector , it beeped : I was like " WTF ? !" The scary lady went to me and said " Remove everything from your pockets now ! " I was panicking and I did , and I went through the metal detector again and it still beeped. The lady was getting really pissed off and she's like EVERYTHING ! So I was rumaging through my pockets and removed everything and she told me to put all my stuff in my pocket in a container for inspection. I was worried for the fact that they might confiscate my stuff. So I did what she told me to do , and I handed her the container and she was like NO PUT IT AROUND THE OTHER WAY. I was like to myself " geez relax " After all that , I got my stuff back and was all good to go.
Afterwards, we went to this court room & this man talked to us about how things go in the court room. I went through my bag briefly and carefully because I was scared that the man would see me and think I was going through my mobile phone because if you were caught doing that , they would confiscate it for three months : I couldn't find my camera in my bag so I started getting worried again. I thought " Maybe they took it away when they my bag went through that bag inspection. " But in the end , I found it at the bottom of my bag when we went out of that room. Silly me.
We had to go in groups of four , so it was Carol,Neelam,Alpana and I . We went to different court rooms and I didn't get a thing they were talking about it. After going to several courts , Carol & I told Neelam & Alpana that we would follow and Carol & I ended up eating & chilling :L When everyone assembled back , we had to walk to the food plaza to eat lunch. Our group had McDonalds and Priyam & I ended up being seperated from the group when finding seats. Carol then rang me and she was like" Where are you guys?" I was like " Um, In McDonalds you?" And she's like yeah us too :L " They ended up being in the middle of the resturant :L We then ate lunch and I had a Medium Fillet o Fish meal :)
We then went to Circular Quay station and there was this man that was in white , you know those mimes? Well he was one of them. We started talking to him, then suddenly he grabs Pretisha's clipboard and starts putting cloth on Pretisha and dressed her up like the Statue of Liberty? :L It was a hilarious moment. After lunch, we walked to this museum and looked through exhibitions of how punishment was like before in Australia. In the end , we did this Mock trial which was about a lady pleaded guilty to drink driving. There were amusing moments in the mock trial.
After a tiring day, we went headed back our way home & the train covnersation was very contreversial. One of those gossip sessions again. When we got back home , everyone said bye to each other and wow that's the end of an amzing day. I went through this day in a rushed matter because I had to go soon ==
